Ingredients
  

Brownie Mix Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix plus eggs, oil and water called for on box
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 24 pieces mini peanut butter cups
  • ½ cup chocolate frosting
  • ¼ cup white icing or candy melts
  • black licorice laces or string for spider legs

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a baking pan.
  • Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. Stir the semisweet chocolate chips into the batter and then pour it into the prepared pan.
  • Bake until done, or about 20-25 minutes. Make sure to allow them to cool completely in the pan.
  • Once cooled, cut into squares, then press a mini peanut butter cup into each square and ‘glue’ it in place with a bit of chocolate frosting.
  • Break out the black licorice laces and cut them to various lengths for spider legs, then place 6-8 legs around each peanut butter cup.
  • Pipe the eyes for each peanut butter cup spider using white icing or the melted candy melts. Allow to set before serving.
