Instructions
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Tear the croissants into pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cheese, salt, and pepper.
Pour the egg mixture over the croissants.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Cooking
Bake the casserole for 45 minutes until golden and set.
While casserole is baking, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually add chicken broth and milk, whisking until smooth and thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve the casserole warm, topped with the gravy.
