Protein

  • 600 g chicken breast, cut into strips £4.70

Coating

  • 200 g cornflakes £0.85/2, (£0.43)
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2-4 sprays vegetable oil spray per goujon
  • flaky salt

Wrap Fillings

  • 2 pcs eggs £1.50/6x2=(£0.50)
  • 1 round lettuce £0.58
  • 6 pcs salad tomatoes, thinly sliced £0.85
  • 8 small white wraps or 4 large (£1.10)
  • 200 g cheesy singles £0.65
  • 1 pc red onion, thinly sliced £0.15

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 200°C/390°F.
  • Prepare your salad ingredients and slice the chicken breasts into pieces. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel.
  • Place the cornflakes into a ziplock bag and crush them until a coarse breadcrumb texture is achieved.
  • Add the flour to a plate (season with salt), whisk the eggs onto a second plate, and on a third plate, combine the seasoning with the crushed cornflakes.
  • Coat the chicken in flour, then egg, and finally the cornflake mix. Lay the breaded chicken pieces on a tray.
  • Spray the breaded chicken with oil and place them in your air fryer. Cook for 5 minutes, flip, and cook for another 5 minutes until fully cooked and crispy.
  • Season the cooked chicken with flaky salt. Prepare your wrap with a tortilla, lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheese slices, and top with goujons.

Notes

Use separate hands for wet and dry ingredients when breading. Pat cornflakes onto chicken with the dry hand to avoid mess. Cook the chicken in batches of similar sizes to prevent over or under-cooking.
