Marinade

  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • black food coloring (optional)

Chicken Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Add black food coloring if desired.
  • Add the chicken wings to the marinade and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the marinated wings on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are cooked through and sticky.
  • Serve hot.
