Ingredients
  

Cauliflower Steaks

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey

To Serve

  • ranch dressing
  • blue cheese crumbles
  • chopped chives

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400F / 200c.
  • Cut the cauliflower through the stem into thick slices, about 1 to 1½ inches in thickness.
  • Place the steaks on parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Place the butter, garlic powder, black pepper, buffalo sauce and honey in a small pot. Heat on medium and stir till everything is well combined.
  • Brush the buffalo sauce mix all over the cauliflower steaks so that they are fully coated.
  • Place in the oven and cook for 25 to 30 minutes until the edges are browned and they are tender, gently flipping halfway through cooking.
  • Top with a drizzle of ranch, blue cheese crumbles and fresh chives to serve.

Notes

For air fryer preparation, coat the cauliflower steaks in the buffalo sauce and cook at 350F for 14 minutes, flipping halfway through. Cut the steaks thick, about 1 to 1½ inches. As they roast, they will lose some water and become thinner. Cut through the stalks to keep them whole; if they fall apart, they will still be delicious.
