Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon orange extract
  • 3 tablespoons butter softened
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (411 g)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons yeast

For the Filling

  • 1 tablespoon butter softened, for the baking pan
  • 5 tablespoons butter melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon orange extract optional
  • 0.33 cups sugar

For the Orange Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions
 

Dough Preparation

  • Add the ingredients for the dough to the bread machine pan in the order they are listed, starting with the milk and ending with the yeast. Cut the butter into chunks and scatter into the pan.
  • Select the DOUGH program on the bread machine.
  • Once the dough is ready, transfer it to a baking mat and roll it out to a 20 x 12-inch rectangle.

Filling Preparation

  • Rub softened butter around the inside of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave and mix in the optional orange extract. Brush this butter over the surface of the rolled dough.
  • Evenly scatter the sugar over the dough.
  • Roll the dough into a log from the long edge, cut into 12 equal slices, and place cut side up in the prepared pan.
  • Cover the pan with plastic wrap and let the rolls rise for 20 - 30 minutes in a warm place until doubled in size.
  • Remove plastic wrap and bake at 375°F for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown.

Glaze Preparation

  • Whisk together powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth. Adjust consistency if needed.
  • Drizzle the glaze over warm orange rolls and serve.
