Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, and flour until smooth.
  • Spread the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before drizzling caramel sauce over the top.
  • Top with chocolate chips and whipped topping, and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars are best served chilled and can be topped with additional whipped cream if desired.
